Due to the alert level 4 situation we will be extending the time frame for priority only flu vaccines, possibly till the end of April. This ensures as many as those eligible people as possible get immunized. There is a list at the front desk for eligible patients for early vaccination (aged 65 or over, pregnant women and young children with history of severe respiratory illness, healthcare and other frontline workers) requesting flu. If you are in the eligible category, please ring Eastmed Doctors on 09 585 0188 and request to be put on the list. For all other patients it will probably be in May – this is still well ahead of the anticipated flu season of late May. We have influenza vaccine supplies that are arriving daily, and we can assure you we will be able to give you the vaccine.
